Title:	Structural Engineer

Reporting to:	Structural Engineer Principal

Purpose of Position:

To provide CAD draughting and other computer based services to the practice in the areas of civil / structural engineering and architecture within the scope of expertise.

To provide assistance with a wide variety of engineering services associated with structural and civil engineering projects.

Position Specification:

Effective communication skills; must have at least 5 years experience in the use of autocad drawing, preferably in the structural field, accurate interpretation of the Design Professional’s requirements; ability to express thoughts clearly and accurately verbally, graphically and in writing.

Responsible for results of parts of projects or for smaller complete projects.  Responsible for the quality and timeliness of drawings produced.

Responsible for collating information in order to make sound judgments within established methods.

Contribute to project planning or take responsibility for planning small scale activities.

Position requires basic theory knowledge of how to analyse and interpret structural information and undertake some independent work on preparing drawings.  Position specific training and qualification, or previous experience of similar work is required.
